Armstrong's team Astana summoned to woodshed by the Tour de France jury

Amstrongphoto

100 Swiss Francs or about ($92) that's how much a rider is fined during the Tour de France if he does not show up 20 minutes before the start of a stage to register for that day's racing.

It appears that the boys of team Astana have been flaunting that rule which makes Tour de France competitions director Jean-Francois Pescheux pretty mad as he figures that fans don't have a good chance to see the team's star riders like Lance Armstrong if they show up late.

Inside the Tour: Day 3 the true sprinters stage by James Raia

Tdfsprint
Inside the Tour is brought to you by (Zeal Optics and MindsetTriathlon).

If there's a true sprinter's stage in this year's Tour de France, it will be Monday's third stage. It will be the flattest stage of the race, progressing 196 kilometers from Marseille to La Grande-Motte.

Like Sunday's second stage won by Mark Cavendish, the third stage will include minor climbs. But the two efforts are both in the first half of the stage and will not present any challenges for the 180-rider field, barring injury or illness.

Versus Tour de France stage 2 race coverage times and stage preview

Stage2 With stage 1 now in the history books the Tour de France riders now turn their attention to stage 2 of this year's race.

According to CyclingNews.com

"The 182km-route is not mountainous, but the rugged terrain could make this a nervous stage. The stage finish into Brignoles is on the same route as the 2007 Paris-Nice stage to Cannes, only backwards. A bunch sprint finish is likely, but some bumps on the road to the finish could provide a surprise."

Top 8 race fueling mistakes made by Ironman triathletes by Ben Greenfield

CouerDAlene Ironman Couer D' Alene Ironman commenced this past week. As a triathlon coach, I have a myriad of athletes competing in the race. Some did well. Others struggled.

Believe it or not, 99% of my coached athletes that did Ironman CDA performed their race day pacing *exactly* as planned. Unfortunately, close to half "fumbled" on the fueling, and it came back to bite them.

Here are the top 8 fueling mistakes that they made, and the lessons you can learn.
